World famous alpinist Steve House took an 80-foot fall while climbing the Greenwood-Locke route on the north face of Mt. Temple.

March 30, 2010 – House Falls on Temple

World famous alpinist Steve House took an 80-foot fall while climbing the Greenwood-Locke route on the north face of Mt. Temple. Describing the experience on his blog, House said, “I went for a memorable 80-footer. Got rescued by the most-excellent Canadian warden service. Injury list: Five broken ribs, two broken in two places, collapsed right lung, two minor fractures in my pelvis, and five minor fractures of various bits of my spine. Sounds worse than it is. 100% stable.”
