Alannah Yip Makes Finals at China World Cup and Makes History

Canadian champion Alannah Yip has made history by becoming the first Canadian female to make Finals at an IFSC World Cup. Yip powered her way into Semis and headed into Finals in sixth in Chongqing.

Her near-podium result comes on the heels of winning the Canadian Bouldering Championships at Rock Jungle and Tour de Bloc Championships at Up the Bloc. Fellow Canadians Sean McColl finished in 21st, Elan Jonas McRae in 37th and late entry Seb Lazure in 59th. In Speed, McColl finished 59th and Yip in 20th. Full results here.
