IFSC 2016 World Cup: Elan Jonas-McRae Finishes Top 30

The Arco World Cup took place at the Rock Master Festival this year. Canadian Elan Jonas-McCrae had his best finish of the Lead World Cup this year with landing in 27th. In Imst, he finished 36th, Villars in 31st and Chamonix in 41st. Romain Desgranges from France and Belgium climber Anak Verhoeven won the fifth stage of the Lead World Cup this year. In second and third or the males was Jakob Schubert and Dmitrii Fakiryanov, and for the females was Jain Kim and Janja Garnbret.

Other Canadians who competed include Nathan Smith (66th in Lead), Alison Stewart-Patterson (52nd in Lead, 26th in Speed), Christy Spurrell (54th in Lead) and Jaylene Pratt (55th in Lead).
