IFSC World Cup 2016: Canadians Qualify for Semis

Three Canadians have advanced to Semis, see below for more. A record 191 climbers from 34 countries registered to compete in Innsbruck, Austria, for the fifth Bouldering World Cup of 2016. Located in the heart of the Alps, the capital city of Tyrol is an internationally acclaimed hub for winter sports competitions. In 2012, Innsbruck featured the very first Winter Youth Olympic Games, in addition to debuting as an IFSC Bouldering World Cup host. A new set of elite bouldering talent visits the Inn valley this year.

For the Male, Sean McColl finished in seventh and Andre DeFelice in 15th and both have advanced to Semis tomorrow. Toronto’s Will Johnson finished the round in 97th. For the Females, Canadian Alannah Yip has advanced to Semis again, this time in 15th and Elise Sethna finished Qualifications in 31st.
