The Chamonix competition is over for me and I am happy that I felt very strong and climbed confidently. I made a poor decision on my second route and was off before I even realized it. It was one of the weirdest places I've fallen since I felt so good even on that hold. But it's important to take the positives away. I just need to be more focused and never take moves for granted. I didn't have the best qualifying round in Chamonix, so instead of climbing in semi finals I got to do my second favourite thing – commentating! It was especially exciting for me to commentate while @mccollsean was crushing – I'm not biased at all 😜 • Tonight we get to cheer him on in finals! Go Canada go! 🇨🇦 • Photo @sytsevanslooten
Not a great comp day for me in Chamonix. I didn't feel as confident as I usually do and found myself still full of energy when I fell on both routes 😔. Glad there is a two week break before the World Cup in Briançon to gather my thoughts and recompose myself so I can climb my best next time. Off to Innsbruck on Friday for a few weeks of hard training…can't wait! 📷 @sytsevanslooten . . . @flashedclimbing @lasportivana @lasportivagram @forceclimbing @piseworld #poweredbypise #foryourmountain #chamonix #ChampionHer #worldcup #teamcanada
