The Men’s Bouldering category is huge with 123 athletes this year. Sean McColl advanced to semi-finals in 19th. Seb Lazure finished 67, Nathan Smith 75, and Elan Jonas-McRae 77. Alban Levier (FRA) and Toma Narasaki (JPN) are leading Men’s Bouldering after qualifications.

In Women’s Lead, Christy Spurrell 61, Alannah Yip finished 43, Alison Stewart-Patterson 60, Annie Chouinard 67, and Jaylene Pratt 73. There is currently a six-way tie for first in Women’s Lead after the top women topped both of their qualifiers. Will the veterans be able to hold of the young guns? Janja Garnbret (SLO) and Anak Verhoeven (BEL) both had strong lead seasons and don’t seem to be slowing down. Canadian

Paraclimbers Kate Sawford and Roy Lemke both put in a strong performance today and advanced to day two of qualifications tomorrow.

Tomorrow is the Men’s Lead Qualification and Women’s Boulder Qualifications. Read the last update here.
