Sean McColl Competes in Finals, Results from Chamonix World Cup

Sean McColl advanced to Finals at the IFSC Lead World Cup in Chamonix and said after Semis, “Well this first Lead World Cup of 2016 is already in my mind a success with my advancement to Finals tonight!” Though he did not podium, McColl climbed well and finished in seventh place. Other strong Canadians made the trip to France to compete, including Becca Frangos, Annie Chouinard, Elan Jonas McRae, Nathan Smith, Matthew Wellington and Rahul Sapra all competed in Qualifications.

The overall winner was Domen Skofic, who was a leading Youth World Cup climber and has now competed in four Open World Cups. For the Females, Janja Garnbret reached the top of the Finals faster than Anak Verhoeven for the win. Full results here.
