The 2015 World Cup in Puurs, Belgium

The fifth round of the IFSC Lead World Cup took place in Puurs, Belgium last weekend.

The weather in Puurs was gorgeous for the fifth IFSC Lead World Cup of the season and the cold air made for an excellent friction on the wall.

A classic of the Lead World Cup Series, the spectacular venue lived up to its promise of long and very overhanging routes and the athletes put on a great show in front of large crowd.

Domen Skofic from Slovenia climbed exceptionally well this weekend and he managed to top-our all of the routes, securing gold for the first time in his career.

After a rocky last few weeks at the Lead World Cups in Imst and Stavanger, in which she finished 12th and fourth respectively, Jain Kim showed us this weekend what makes her the reigning Lead World Champion.

The Korean prodigy was the only woman to top all the routes and it was her fifth consecutive victory in Puurs. Full results here.

The IFSC Lead World Cup Series 2015 continues in Wujiang, China, on Oct. 17.
