Throwback: Watch 2009 Tour de Bloc National Finals

Climbing competitions have come a long way over the past decade. The Tour de Bloc has been a part of the evolution of bouldering comps in Canada. From having a small number of national competitors go at it on plywood walls to having thousands of young to old climbers compete in dozens of cities in new-age boulder-only facilities.

Below are two short films, one of women’s finals and the other of men’s finals, by Jeremy Dowsett of the Tour de Bloc Nationals in 2009 at the old Allez Up in Montreal.
