Post Gear Size for Bon Echo

I have a full rack and I am planning on taking my girlfriend to Bon Echo for the first time. Just want to know if there are any size of cams and nuts I should double up on to make sure I have enough gear to make it up the climbs? Will most likely stay under 5.6 climbs since it’s her first time doing multi-pitch.

I have for cams TCU & BD C4 and have BD Nuts.

Thanks,

Kevin

Bring helmets! The rock can be loose at places.

I have been there before and always use a helmet. this time I won’t have a second rack and can’t seem to remember which cam or nut we doubled up on.

Add a pink and red tri-cam, add a #2 bd cam.  depending on the route you may want and extra big cam?? Always felt more comfortable with some mid-large sized hexes, and of course a handful of extra single length slings.  (and ymmv, some of this personal preference here.)

And of course this was before the Great Grid Bolting, so maybe you just need a set of draws and skinny single these days…

yeah there isn’t any bolts except at a few place for anchors, mostly to keep people from using the trees but even then, you rarely see botls in Bon Echo and I hope it stays that way.

Thanks for the into. I am going to double up on my BD #1 & 2 and severals of my mid-range nuts.

Hey, 9a.

The grid bolting comment was ironic, just yanking the chain of a couple readers I know.
