Upon looking at older climbing magazines i have noticed that spandex and jean cutt off’s were popular climbing apparel in the 80’s and 90’s. Why have we as a society phased out the most powerfull climbing outfits? Sending a 5.15a is impressive but sending a 5.15a in a pair of tight jean cut off’s is a feat few will ever accomplish.

Petzl should get on it: a safe and comfortable thong-style harness.

I don’t know about the comfort issue, but don’t Petzl already make thong-style harnesses?
