Are they holding a comp or comps this year???  I really hope so as it would be a very big disappointment to not have the ritual showdown in the cave and maybe on some new terrain.  Anybody know what’s happening?

The CCC is doing their C3 comps just not a TDB stop.  I think the first comp is Nov 27th.

Simon,
What is the reason for not holding a TDB on the last comp like usual?  That’s a pretty big disappointment to the climbing community as everybody in Alberta looked forward to the CCC Tour de Bloc, as well as people from BC, Sask and Manitoba.  I’m sure there is a reason but I would urge it to be reconsidered for the benefit of all of us who need that additional motivation to come to Calgary to compete Presentational Image Anyways, hope it turns out, it’s a shame to see the motivating gym of Canadian climbing competitions drop out of the major competition tour.  I’ll try to make it down for the CCC comps anyways, but that extra sanctioned comp or two would be nice.

I also notice that the biggest gyms in BC; The Edge and Cliffhanger are not participating. Anyone know the reason for this? How can the big gyms reap the rewards of increased interest in climbing generated by these competitions without giving back and hosting a few themselves?
