Has anyone tried out or seen a review on this pad?

Good/bad, pros/cons?

great to land on , heavy and kinda bulky for thrashing through the forest and boulders.

If it gets a rip will it turn into a giant whoopee cushion?

best pad i’ve every landed on. it doesnt hold a pocket of air that could be punctured. the pad traps air within little cells of foam that release when you land. takes a while to inflate when you get it rolled up. if you are serious about bouldering this is a great pad. for occasional boulderers the price is pretty steep.

Nope, the way it is designed, it would work just as well if you got a rip in it somehow.

this pad is well ahead of it’s time…..i’ve been hauling it around australia and new zealand for 5 months and it is far and away the BEST pad at any of the bouldering areas.

It is hard to explain why this pad is so effective here (check the flashed website for specific info), but the biggest thing we notice is that the higher up you are and the more force you exert on the pad the more effective it is!!!  Also a huge bonus is layering with the ronin….it is often hard to avoid ankle spraining edges when layering with a normal pad if you don’t know exactly where the climber will land.  With the ronin you can place it on top of other pads knowing it’s shock absorbing edges will eliminate this fear!

the flashed crew has done a great job with this pad and I can’t wait to see what they come up with next!

Doug, you better be careful what you say. They might just end up at your door and eating out of your fridge, drinking your beer and taking your place on the couch. Oh hey wait a minute…
