Just wondering, does anyone know if the walls in princess Louisa Inlet have been climbed?  I just saw a blurb on TV about it and was surprised to see the large granite walls around their.  It looks pretty cool.

I believe J.Middendorf was working on a route in there and actually completed it. This rumour could of course be related to Rowat and friends. The real opourtunities around there are in the peaks above frost line. They actually have clean rock on them. The chatterbox wall is extremely dirty on the bottom half. A peak towards Mt.Albert,  the Malibu folks call Angels Landing, has a 2500 foot clean steep granite wall, and a trail from/to the summit

Adventure is awesome. That wall seems remote, a bit green but otherwise sureal.

What impressed me most were the shots from that coastal range ski trip !! That’s awesome! Guess I’m still reliving the great snow today on whistler….

The north side of Albert is more of a loose horrorshow rockies  kind of thing. Consider yourselves warned. Hunaechin= hellnation=bushwak and loose. Definately not a rock climb

There’s a 4000 foot wall rising out of Hunaechin River on the Sw side of Albert. I believe CAD and Rob richards tried it a few years ago and reported bad rock.

There’s also a c. 5000 foot wall on the north side of Albert.

Both PLI walls and these were investigated in the early 70’s by Hugh Burton and Steve Sutton and, I believe, Paul Starr but nothing substantial was climbed back then.

I don’t believe Middendorf has ever climbed a route on the walls there. I know Warren Hollinger had expressed some interest before his back injury.
