Is it awesome? Does it suck? So far I’ve heard that there is actually less bouldering than there was at the old gym, which is hard to imagine.

I can’t climb right now so I need to live through other people’s experiences. Did they buy new holds? Did they hire new setters? Are they still the reverse-sandbag capital of Canada?

it feels less crowded than the other.  i think the setters either need to get used to the textured walls, or perhaps they rushed through their first batch of routes.  the grades feel slightly inconsistent IMHO.  (Old cliffhanger was at least fairly consistent).

my beef is with the surrey gym (which is in other ways wonderful– cheap and friendly (I know, bring on the jokes))– they are often out to lunch, grade-wise (routes not boulders).  this is annoying if you are training, doing laps etc.  certain routes feel like sick jokes perpetrated by setters.
