Off the Wall hosted the second stop of the Eastern TDB season yesterday Jan. 12. A total of 100 competitors from Quebec and Ontario competed on 45 problems set by Jody Miall and the OTW setting crew of Chris, Brian, Tyler, Peter, Andreas and Andrew.

There were a couple of first for Noah Zielinski - topping out on his first finals problem ever (he sent 2 of the 3 problems in finals) and winning his first TDB comp. His younger brother Tash Zielinski also made an impressive finals debut finishing in fifth place. A tremendous accomplishment considering he’s only been climbing for several months. 

Another story of note was Tony Berlier strong 2nd place finish.  A veteran of the route comps of the late 80’s schooled the new generation of pebble wrestlers with his comp savvy.

The usual suspects took top honors in women’s open. Although a tie breaker was needed to separate eventual winner Erin Ford(first win this season) and runner up Bonnie de Bruijn (second 2nd place finish this season). Off the Walls very own climber Deanna Furnival made her 1st ever finals and she climbed hard right to the end finishing in third place.

This was OTW first time hosting the Tour and they did a great job putting on the event.  Here are the results from yesterdays Open Finals. Complete results to follow.
