Guys, is it not irrelevant who didn’t show, but those who did and sent? The winners are those who showed - Yes there were some strong competitors who were not in this comp, but it should not take away from the competitors efforts and achievements. Seems to me that the last comp was a TP send fest? Besides, what else does Edmonton have? They’ve got no mountains close by, the Oilers are still in the rebuild stage (seems like most people i talk to are from there, but live here and talk about how wicked ED is)– but they’ve got some of the best boulderers and indoor climbers in Alberta … S&Z set the bar over a decade ago and they are still representing when they can.
Maybe it’s really about who’s tatoos are better? PW or DA?
I heard that Winston Tui was in - got his name wrong again on the scoresheet? I thinks he’s on ‘roids …

Pete, as you and some others may have noticed, i’m experiencing technical difficulties on the current train, as it’s hard to jump off - i’ve tried, but i seem to bounce right back on the same damn train … if i do go the tatoo way, it’s gotta be the Commerford - jd

Wow, that is probably the best tattoo I’ve ever seen or could even imagine…  especially the freakishly long left arm? or am I the only one who noticed that?  You will be missed Pete, you will be missed.

Sounds like the C3 comps was a pretty cool event once again. Great attendance, well organized and superultramega problems. As told by Edmonton climbers who travelled to do what they love to do with there time off.
Wish I could have been alittle more savy with my own reschedualing of my scheduale to accomadate self serving priorities which would have led to my attendace. Oh well, non the least, the CCC will always be there to provide punishment. Wether it`s a Feroshious comp or a C3.
In the mean time, I hope to see all those capable of commuting and pullin down to participate in Edmonton`s installment of the Tour de Bloc. There is a psyched wrench wreking crew poised and ready to sevre all those ready to support there love of climbing.
Sounds like the Danimal already has a guest list in the makes for the after party @ Halo. A great venue to celebrate ones accomplishments or drown the sorrows of sore muscles and thin skin.

later, drive safely

I think we should all work on getting JDL out of retirement.

It’s been too long since I got my ass kicked by someone 15 years older than me.

All I know is that I’m going to conveniently get a new tattoo right before a Calgary competition so that I have a good excuse to not attend Presentational Image
The comp this weekend will be good times and the after party will not be too shabby either.  Most of you know that the man in charge, Lex Faida, will be rockin’ it on the mic and setting some wicked grip paths in true E-town style with his mad wrench crew of Pellerini, The McCallum, Kingosan and others.  Frankly I’m scared but looking forward to a little whoopin’.  Hope some of you can make the drive, not only the Calgarites, but maybe some Saskitites and Manitobites as well.  See all the cool cats and kittens this weekend, for the rest of you, you’re missing out.
D

PS - My tattoos are obviously better!  There is no question, that’s why Pete keeps getting more!  Awww yah sucka!
