Post Steve Clark’s passing

Whistler lost one of the best freeskier’s and mountaineer on Dec. 31st in an avalanche in Ruby Bowl, and I like many others lost a good friend. For those that had the opportunity to party like maniacs at Friday at Dusty’s for Steve’o’s passing away, what an awesome night!! Steve would have been smiling ear to ear. We all miss you buddy. You lived the dream, truly.

Hands down the most genuine person I ever met. His incredible skiing ability and enthusiasm was second only to his open hearted personality. I have a vivid memory of him and I up on the Sudan Couloir opening day (first run) Blackcomb a number of years ago and I was mesmerized by your smooth style as you skied down the fresh powder in front of me.

I know you are in heaven getting the turns of your life so please Steve, like you would say to me, Keep your tips up! mate. I will miss you buddy, and your warm smile.

Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn.”
