Hi everyone. Recently, we published an anonymous letter from “Barry” in Canmore. We often publish anonymous mail, because we get a lot of it. It wasn’t offensive or anything, but it did make some people assume it was written by Canmore’s most famous guy named Barry, which it wasn’t. Any thoughts on using anonymous mail?

I kinda liked that letter; I have a few friends that are professional athletes in non mainstream sports, and I know how hard it is for them.  I think the letter showed people that being a professional climber isn’t as easy as it sounds.

As for whether the mag should print anonymous letters.  Anonymous is fine, Barry from Canmore is a little suspect.  To save mr. Blanchard’s rep maybe in the future put “anonymous in Canmore” - although I’m sure his feelings about pro climbing are similar.
