Importance of Golf Swing Speed
It is what drive’s the engine so to speak. The distance that the ball travels is in direct correlation to the swing speed. For an example, most of the pros hit the ball with discount golf clubs speed of 110 mph or even as high as 127 mph. Winners of the long ball driving contests hit the ball with club head speeds exceeding 133 mph with some as much as 152 mph.

Why, well we are using muscles that we hardly ever use to golf with. So these muscles are not trained to reach the level we need for high speed hitting.
