I am opening a mountain shop in Chilliwack in October and i think that it will effectively cover the market in Hope as well. I would love to see something move up valley eventually, however i don’t think that hope is big enough to support something independently at this point unless it was more of a general sporting goods store covering the fishing hunting, hockey, soccer etc. end of things as well as there is nothing of that sort there.
As for Mt. Waddington’s Outdoors in Chilliwack we are getting excited for launch here in the next month or so! We will have packs, sleeping bags, footwear, and climbing and mountaineering equipment. As well we have a stellar line up of apparel with brands like Westcomb, Mountain Hardwear, Marmot, Shirpa and so much more.
