2015 Quebec Provincials Bouldering Championships
Quebec’s top climbers rallied in Montreal this past weekend and competed at the Provincial Championships at The Bloc Shop.

Open Results
The Bloc Shop has become one of Quebec’s go-to bouldering hubs. Hosting a number of competitions this year, the recent Provincial Championships brought now-familiar Bloc Shop excitement to participants. With a dimly lit background and spotlights on the climbers, all focus is on the action.
One of the big stories was Elise Sethna’s victory, as her brother Eric was busy winning the British Columbia Provincial Championships at The Edge in Vancouver the same day. Second to Elise was Catherine Brunel-Guitton and in third was Kristina Jellema.
For the men, the always strong Sebastien Lazure was nudged out of top spot by the Samuel Tiukuvaara, who was crushing. In third was Julien Bourrassa-Moreau.
Youth and Junior Results
For the Junior Boys, Alex Doucet qualified in second, but with a strong final round edged Nathan Leblanc-Limoges into second. Xavier Rouleau rounded off the podium. For the Junior Girls, only five competitors were vying for the top spot. Marie Landry went into the finals in number one and followed through with the victory. Elisabeth Legare followed suit in second place and Camille Michel in third.
