Alex Megos Continues Sending Spree In Australia

Alex Megos made quick work of the Sydney, Australia problem Double Demerit V14 at Sunnyside.

Megos traveled to Australia after his trip to Japan. Within only a few days, he’s sent many of the area’s testpiece routes.

He started his trip with a V11, V12 and V13 in Crumbly. He then climbed three 5.14bs in Blue Mountains out of which one he flashed.

“Having a little rest yesterday on the send of Sitting Bull,” wrote Megos. “Another world class route around 5.14b I’d say. Today another amazing route called Beta Vinyl 5.14c went down. It just seems that every route here is world class!” Photo Rick Fletcher

Yesterday, Megos climbed a V11, V12 and the second ascent of Tom Farell’s Double Demerit V14.

Megos wrote on his Facebook page: “Bouldering is amazing in Sydney. The fact that you just park in front if somebody’s house and just walking two min to the boulders is cool. And then the problems themselves are really good. If they would be on a boulder instead of at a cliff band they would be as well recognized as world class problems.”
