Alex Megos Repeats Ceüse 5.15 in Three Tries

Alex Megos has been on a road trip for the past few weeks, visiting historic and new crags around Europe.

His most recent stop was in Ceüse and he sent Jungle Boogie 5.15a in only three tries. He first attempted the route a few years ago after sending Biographie 5.15a, but the conditions were not good.

Megos noted after, “The video of Stefano Ghisolfi motivated me to try it again. I checked it out and gave it three tries till I did it.”

Megos likely got the third ascent of Jungle Boogie, which was first climbed by Adam Ondra in 2012 and repeated by Sachi Amma in 2015 and Ghisolfi in 2016.

Ghisolfi wrote on Instagram after, “This is one of my hardest route so far, the hardest 9a+ [5.15a] I ever tried and climbed.

“I’m proud to have done the third ascent after Adam Ondra and Sachi Amma. I’m really happy to be on this list with two of the strongest climbers in the world.”
