Alex Puccio Climbs Fifth V13 (and watch her crank four one-arm chin-ups)
Alex Puccio has been setting new standards for female bouldering the past year. Recently she made the first female ascent of Black Lung in Joe’s Valley.
Puccio wrote on her social media, “Psyched to have sent the classic Black Lung V13 in Joe’s Valley today. Third day on it and last try of the day. Got really close the first day, but ended up taking a little longer. One life-time tick down. It’s sooo cold here. Thank you Joel Zerr and Ben Spannuth for brushing the snow and ice off the top-out holds.”
Puccio featured in Exposure Vol. II
The website 8a.na noted, “In the 8a ranking game, Alex is now number 20 among the guys, which no other female has been even close to be.” Puccio has now climbed two V14s and five V13s.
