Alex Puccio Sends 18th V13 with Dead Meadow

The Vail World Cup is only a week away and Alex Puccio has ticked Dead Meadow V13 with hopes this year’s event will be better than the past two.

Last year, Puccio suffered a bad neck injury at the Vail comp and the previous year she wrecked her knee. Hopefully, third times a charm and she takes it to the podium.

The climber’s site 8a.nu noted that this Wild Basin problem is Puccio’s 20th climb V13 or harder and her 18th V13.

On Instagram, Puccio said, “Was suppose to be a rest day and went out to spot Joel. He got me all psyched to try Dead Meadow V13/8B in Wild Basin and surprised myself with a send. First day on it as well… Now getting all psyched up for Vail Bouldering World Cup next weekend.”
