Bouldering World Cup: Laval and season wrap-up

The 2014 Bouldering World Cup season finished this weekend in Laval, France. Akiyo Noguchi finished the year with four straight wins.

It was another amazing display of strength as the world’s top climbers struggled to climb the final problems at the Laval World Cup. In the end, Akiyo Noguchi won for the women and Rustam Gelmanov won for the men.

Canada’s Sean McColl did not make the finals in Laval. His season will continue as he is one of the world’s top Lead World Cup competitors. Read about his record-making wins in China here.

Behind Noguchi was Miho Nonaka and Julian Wurm. In second for men was Gui-Gui Mondet and in third was Jeremy Bonder.
