Bozeman Fest and Ice World Cup this Weekend, Watch Here!

The 2016 UIAA Ice Climbing World Cup starts tomorrow in Bozeman.

A few weeks ago, the climbing structure that was built for the first World Cup of the season, fell over in a wind storm. After some serious rallying by organizers, the wall has been rebuilt and the show will go on.

This is the first stage of the third World Cup to take place in Montana. The event is also the 19th annual Bozeman Ice Climbing Festival.

The World Cup starts at 8:30 a.m. on Friday morning. This is the 15th annual Ice Climbing World Cup. In January 2016, the event will take place in South Korea, Switzerland and Italy.

Last year, the overall winner were Ange Rainer and Maxim Tomilov. We can expect to see a number of Canadians in this weekend’s World Cup.
