Canadians Climb Big New Routes on Greenland

Canadians Paul McSorley and Vikki Weldon visited Greenland with Italy-based Paolo Marazzi this summer. They were accompanied by a film crew including Matthew Paul Invir, Angela Percival and Julian Kenchenten. The strong climbers visited an area called Mythic Circle and climbed two new routes: Cindarella Ridge on Hidden Tower, an 800-metre 5.11d and an 800-metre 5.10 on Aurora Tower.

On PlanetMountain.com, Marazzi said, “The route was extremely beautiful, simple, and the rock was probably perfect for 700 or 800 metres. We reached the top at sunset. Another indescribable view! We established some anchors and rappelled down to a big ledge where we had stashed our gear for the night.” Read his full story here.
