Canadians Heading to Patagonia as Weather Improves

The weather in Patagonia has mostly been wet, cold and windy this climbing season. As Patagonia Vertical posted on Facebook today that the weather is finally improving, a number of Canadians get ready to head south. Sonnie Trotter will be meeting Sam Lambert and friends down El Chalten for a few weeks of climbing in the Fitz Roy area.

West Coaster Will Stanhope is heading to Torre del Paine with American Jesse Huey for some big wall action. Torre del Paine is in Chile’s Patagonia region. Stanhope has a number of big Patagonia sends to his name, including the first free ascent of The Sound and the Fury 5.12 on Aguja Desmochada, the first ascent of DNV Direct on Aguja Poincenot 5.11R/X and Blood on the Tracks 5.12 on Aguja Innominata.
