Canadians Qualify, Watch China World Cup Semis Tonight!

The Chongqing World Cup Qualifications took place Saturday in China. Three Canadian have advanced to semis.

Canmore-based Stacey Weldon qualified for the semi-finals, which start at 9:30 EST in Canada. In first place, after qualifications, was Petra Klingler, followed by Julija Kruder and Akiyo Noguchi. Full results here.

For the men, the always strong Sean McColl clinched a semi-finals position. But, the big news was Andre DiFelice‘s strong qualification round, as he advanced to the semis. DiFelice was born in Canada, grew up in Colorado and has been living in Holland.

The comp favourite, Jan Hojer qualified, as did Adam Ondra in his usual third position with Jongwon Chong and Kokoro Fuiji ahead. Full results here.
