Every year, Climb Nova Scotia (CNS) hosts the annual bouldering festival, Boulderfest.  This weekend long festival takes place on Dover Island, a small granite island off the eastern coast of Nova Scotia. While there are other good areas, none offer the concentration of quality boulders and breathtaking scenery found on Dover Island. The area is home to over 100 problems ranging from V0 to V10.

This year’s Boulderfest marked the eleventh year of the festival which may explain why all 100 tickets to the event sold out in just six hours. CNS takes on the arduous task of facilitating the event as well as providing transportation to the island and food for all the participants.

Here is a link to some of the incredible bouldering on Dover Island.
