The Grivel Twin Gate carabiner wins the Compasso d’Orco ADI for design. The Compasso d’Oro ADI is an association for industrial awards that began over 50 years ago. The Twin Gate is designed as a locking carabiner with two gates that oppose instead of the standard screw gate. Grivel was founded in 1909 by Oskar Eckenstein who first engineered a pair of crampons, and continues to create innovative climbing gear. Visit Grivel’s site here.
