Kilian Fischhuber Retires From Competitive Climbing

The 31-year-old Austrian climber Kilian Fischhuber is retiring from competitive climbing. He has been competing since 1997 and is one of the best competition boulderers ever. 

The always dominate Fischhuber won his first World Cup in 2004, is nine-time Austrian champ, has won 21 gold medals at World Cups, two silver medals at World Championship, five overall World Cup titles and is the current European Champion. He is one of the best all-round competitors who excels at all styles of climbing. His presence will surely be missed in 2015.

On the rock, he has climbed several 5.14ds and V15s. He has projects in Iran, South Africa and India. His partner is Anna Stohr, the best female competition boulderer in history.
