Monday Motivation: Family Day and Five Moves to Mimic

Have a fun and safe family day today!

It’s Family Day for some Canadians on Monday the 17th and for others it’s business as usual. Whatever you’re up to, chances are you’re thinking about training today or this week.

In B.C., dozens of strong climbers are putting their training to the test at the Youth Bouldering Nationals. Tune in later this week for photos, interviews and results from the competition. In the mean time, here are five impressive moves to try.

The first is by Udo Neumann of some modern indoor training. Looks like a solid one to warm up with.

The second is by stuntman and climber Erik Mukhametshin of a dyno-into-flip. Good luck with this one.

The third is by crusher Shauna Coxsey of a huge dyno, which she says might be her biggest.

So this is probably the biggest dyno I’ve ever done… I love jumping 🙂 #bouldering #dyno

The next is a wild horizontal dyno link by Ayo Sopeju at Toronto’s Joe Rockheads.

The final move comes from Marc-Antoine at Allez Up in Montreal. He doesn’t stick it but big props for dreaming big!
