Motivation Monday: Five Moves to Mimic

There is nothing like a Monday to get you motivated for making big moves.

Here are a few moves that have popped up on social media that would be fun to mimic. Just click on the video to watch.

Tag #grippedmoves if you have a rad problem, big move or unique route you would like to share.

The first move went down at the USA Bouldering Nationals by Nicholas Milburn.

The second move also took place at the USA Bouldering Nationals. There’s nothing like a good national competition to bring the big guns out. Here is Alex Puccio with a creative solution to this cryptic problem.

So I guess this was "the move" that people were most surprised about last night and I would say me too! While previewing this Boulder with the other girls, none of us talked about this solution. I didn't see this solution till I was on the climb and just happened to do it because it felt right! I have learned that you really need listen to your body and do what feels natural. But doesn't always work that way on climbs and sometimes I for sure over think it instead of just feeling it out like on the top of #4. These lessons are a very important part of improving our climbing. Mistakes are ok to make, just make sure you try and learn from them!!! ? #trainhardplayharder #improvement @scarpana @petzl_official @frictionlabs thanks again for the video @joelzerr !

Next up is Eric Sethna from a few weeks ago at a Tour de Bloc in Canmore. “The only rule in comp climbing is don’t let go.”

Next up is a big dyno from Allez Up in Montreal. If you haven’t been to Allez Up, it’s one of Canada’s top gyms.

Go BIG or go home! #bouldering #dynoday #allezup

Last but not least is this throwback to Elise Sethna at the CEC Nationals at the Boiler Room in Kingston.
