Nalle Hukkataival Sends Fred Nicole’s Monkey Wedding V15
Nalle Hukkataival has sent Fred Nicole’s Monkey Wedding V15 in Rocklands, South Africa for its eighth ascent. On Instagram, he wrote, “A boulder that I had tried and got close to doing already many years ago, I’d kept it aside as one of the last remaining climbs for me in Rocklands after an unfortunate series of skin issues. Today, years later, the boulder has seen seven ascents before me. Feels good to complete a climb I started such a long time ago, but crossing one last climb off my list also marks the end of an era for me in Rocklands. Luckily there are still plenty of great projects in sight to keep busy and new areas to continue developing.”
Hukkataival has climbed some of the world’s hardest problems, including The Understanding in Magic Wood, Stepping Stone in Grampians, Livin’ Large in Rocklands and many others. He also made the third ascent of Gioia V16 in Varazze, Italy. Watch him on The Bügeleisen Sit Start V15.
Crusher Vadim Timinov made the ninth ascent not long after and wrote the following on Instagram, “Today I did the main project of my trip in Rocklands! I’m very satisfied! Today will be a party!”
