New 5.10 at Classic Ontario Crag Metcalfe

Leslie Timms has reported about a new 5.10d at Metcalfe Rock in Ontario. The new line climbs up left of Harry’s Climb 5.12a, a burly four-bolt route. The new bolted Metcalfe route is called Decade. Metcalfe is popular crag with many moderate sport routes. After the Milton walls, Metcalfe is one of the oldest in Ontario with the first climbs established in the early 1960s. There was a hut built by the University of Toronto Outdoor Club that still exists, but is privately owned by the university. The new 5.10d pushes the route count at Metcalfe to 140.
