Toby Foord-Kelcey has made the first ascent of Waldorf Salad 5.12d at Halfway House in Cheakamus Canyon north of Squamish. After his send, he wrote on Sendage.com, “This thing took a lot of work both to clean/bolt and climb. Hard to know what grade. It took several days to sort out the beta with a couple of very marginal moves, but the final send felt quite easy.”

Foord-Kelcey first posted about development on the wall in July 2014. The steep crag offers a number of hard lines and over the past two years he has climbed five new routes:  1. Meet the New Choss 5.11a, 2. Same as the Old Choss 5.12b, 3. Don’t Mention the War 5.11c, 4. Fawlty Towers 5.11d, 5. Waldorf Salad 5.12d, 6. The Impasse 5.12b.
