New Big Rock Climb on Bedson Ridge in Jasper

Dunynel Geiger and Tyler Davidson climbed a new route on Bedson Ridge near Jasper in Alberta. Bedson Ridge is a popular limestone multi-pitch crag with routes over 300 metres. Their new 5.10c is a variation between Grand Mother and Running Scared in Dark Places, two established routes on Bedson.

Bedson Ridge is about 50 kilometres east of Jasper’s town centre across from the Athabasca River and Pocahontas Warden Station. The climbing is good in spring, summer and late into the fall without snow. It will often be snowing or raining east or west and the ridge will stay dry.
