New Mount Louis line up stunning corner

It's one of many excellent lines on the east aspect of the big mountain

Mount Louis seems to have endless potential for those seeking a new route. Homage to the Spider climbs the most attractive corner on the northeast wall, but many corners remain.

Raphael Slawinski and Steve Holeczi have finished a project started in the early summer. Their route climbs an obvious corner to the left of Homage to the Spider III 5.10. The Holeczi/Slawinski is a 250-metre 5.11- which the pair climbed on Sept. 1.

“‘Watch me,’ I grunted down to Steve. ‘I can’t feel my toes,'” Slawinski wrote on his blog. “At least my fingers were warm as I squeezed and palmed my way across the underside of the ear. It helped that the driving graupel held off until we were changing into approach shoes on the huge platform above. Wearing every layer we’d brought, we scrambled toward the summit.”
