Sachi Amma Sends Fight or Flight

The 25-year-old Japanese climber, Sachi Amma, has sent Fight or Flight, his first 5.15b.

In 2014, Amma sent Realization, his first 5.15a. Now, less than a year later, he has climbed one of the hardest routes in the world.

After sending Fight or Flight, Amma wrote, “It happened finally. I spent four trips and more than 25 tries attempting Fight or Flight. I sent my long time project today. I had a good time with the route and will never forget today.”

Amma’s ascent of Fight or Flight is the fourth of Chris Sharma’s 2011 route, which makes it the most climbed 5.15b in the world.

In 2013, Adam Ondra repeated the route and in Dec. 2014, Jakob Schubert made the third ascent.

Amma has climbed Papichula 5.15a and Pachamama 5.15a and shortly after he sent Fight or Flight, he climbed Joe-Cita 5.14d.
