Scott Bennett and Brad Gobright’s El Cap One-Day Triple-Link

Brad Gobright and Scott Bennett have linked three hard routes on El Cap in 23 hours and 10 minutes. They started on The Zodiac 5.7 A2 or 5.13c at 2 p.m. and then climbed The Nose 5.9 C2 or 5.14 at night and finished on Lurking Fear 5.7 C2F or 5.13c the following day. “It’s a link-up I’ve been wanting to do for a while now so it feels good to finally have done it,” wrote Gobright on his social media.

“We were feeling pretty dead after three El Cap routes (and descents) but with that incredible view on a exceptionally beautiful day it was hard not to feel totally alive despite the exhaustion.” Follow Gobright on Instagram here and Bennett here. In 2010, Alex Honnold and Sean Leary linked Lurking Fear, Salathe Wall 5.9 C2 or 5.13b and The Nose in under 24 hours.
