Stacey Weldon Sends Acephale 5.13c on Canada Day

It was a happy Canada Day for Stacey Weldon, who is hot off a big few months of competing at the IFSC World Cups. She reported on social media that she has sent Army Ants 5.13c at Acephale. First climbed in 1995 by Lev Pinter, the 14-metre burly climb starts left of a yellow streak on the Upper Wall. After hard slaps up a small corner, you get a lousy rest and hard crimps to a final crux. Weldon wrote on Instagram, “YES!!! Surprise send of Army Ants 13c today!! I have been working on this rig on and off for years, and it finally went down… So stoked.” Belayed by fellow crusher Elise Sethna, it seems Acephale sending season is in full swing.
