Stefano Ghisolfi made the first ascent of One Punch in Arco, Italy, this weekend. According to 8a.nu, it’s the 24 year old’s ninth send of the grade.
Ghisolfi said after, “Finally I sent my super project One Punch! I worked it for ten days and I think this is the hardest 9a+ [5.15a] I’ve done so far, probably close to 9b [5.15b].
Yesterday I made the first ascent of "One Punch", one of the hardest route I've ever climbed! 9a+ could be the right grade, but it took me 10 days and I think it is very hard! Hopefully we will see a second (and third?) ascent soon. 📷@theverticaleye • • • @thenorthface @lasportivagram @camp1889 @vertical.life.climbing @epictv @hrtholds @frictionlabs #neverstopexploring #fiammeoro

“The route is just to the left of Queen Line [Adam Ondra’s new 5.15b from last week] and I had the fortune to have as belayer and supporter Adam Ondra.”
Ghisolfi, who has repeated First Round, First Minue 5.15b and made the first ascent of Lapsus 5.15b, also sent the 5.15a lines: La Rambla, First Ley, Ultimatum and Jungle Boogie.
