Stu Smith has established another new Squamish route, this time establishing Sad Teen’s Razor 5.12 on the Apron. The new technical route passes seven bolts up the wall next to the newer start of Calculus Crack 5.8.
A few days ago, Smith made the first ascent of Two Thumb Press 5.14a/b at the Smoke Bluffs. This year promises to be one of the busiest Squamish has ever seen. If you are heading out that way, be sure to visit here for the latest access news.
Keeping with the rope soloing theme I climbed a new sport route on the apron today, "Sad Teen's Razor" 5.12 climbs the prominent razor sharp arête just to the right of the direct start to "calculus crack" and directly up hill of the Boulder problem "ramen raw" the lower half of the route is bouldery on sharp and flat edges, the upper half is technical arête slapping and heel hooking. 7 bolts to bolted anchor. #squamish #newrouting #fuckingetsomeyea
