Watch Aric Fishman Send a Hard New Thunder Bay Route

Aric Fishman is one of the leading route developers and climbers in Northwestern Ontario and is releasing a number of videos as part of a new series.

Fishman recently sent a new 30-metre 10-bolt 5.12 sport route developed at a stunning new crag in Northwestern Ontario.

“We found it, cleaned it, bolted it and I won the Rock Paper Scissors,” said Fishman. “Then I Flashed it and named it Inspiration Station.”

Thunder Bay has unlimited potential for new hard routes. With new crags being discovered every year and such a small group of climbers, some of the area’s hardest routes are yet to be climbed.

“Here’s a video I put together with footage shot by Martin Dube. It’s so much fun being a climber living in Thunder Bay,” said Fishman. “The climbing is world-class and it’s got endless potential for new routes.

“Thanks to Jon Hollway and Dube for helping to clean and bolt this beauty line and to Duncan Hutchison and Kyle Brooks for showing us these walls.”
