Watch First Ascent of Big Psycho Killer in Newfoundland
Anna Pfaff and Will Mayo have established another monster new route in Newfoundland. This big 200-metre line clocks in at WI7+ M9 and is being called Psycho Killer.
The route climbs up ice to a steep crack and a roof and finishes on more ice on Big Wave Wall in Bakers Brook Pond. “This was one of the most exhilarating (and dangerous) routes I’ve ever done,” said Mayo.
A few days ago, Pfaff, Mayo and Joe Terravecchia climbed the new 400-metre route Dreamline WI6+ next to Pissing Mare Falls. Mayo and Pfaff climbed the new-in-2015 Apocalypse Now WI7 M9 220m up the Cholesterol Wall and climbed a direct variation on it this year. Mayo also established The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe WI7 M12 last year.
