Watch Some Burly Scottish Climbing

Scotland is renown for its bold and run-out climbing during very cold conditions.

The rules in Scotland are simple, if a summer rock route is white with snow, neve or ice then you can strap on the crampons and bring the ice tools. Many climbs have summer and winter names and grades.

In this short film, Nick Bullock and Tim Neill tackle some of the area’s hard routes. Bullock is currently living in Canmore and climbing in the Rockies. He and Greg Boswell recently climbed The Real Big Drip V M8 WI6 in the Ghost, read about it here.

Canadians Ian Welsted and Raphael Slawinki have been invited to represent Canada at the BMC winter meet in Scotland in the new year.
