Week-Long Trip to Quadra Island with #defineFeminine

Arc’teryx’s #defineFeminine contest had over 1,200 nominations and after some careful consideration, they chose four women for a trip to Quadra Island.

Quadra Island offers excellent rock climbing in one of the most scenic settings in Canada: snow-capped mountains, the Salish Sea and lush rain forests.

There are over 150 routes at Chinese Mountains, Morte Lake and on Breton Island, with more routes added every week. It won’t be long before crowds are escaping the hot, crowded walls of Squamish for the cooler, more remote crags of Quadra.

Here is a short video that Arc’teryx has released about their #defineFeminine trip to the small West Coast island.

Gripped has been working with route developers from Quadra Island on a story about the area’s history and future. Be sure to look for it in a future issue.
